The ideal candidate possesses a background in a quantitative field and strong programming skills in R, Python, and/or SQL to uncover complex fraud schemes.
The role involves planning data-intensive investigations, writing data retrieval scripts, and presenting findings to various audiences.
Candidates lacking quantitative fundamentals, programming proficiency in R, Python, or SQL, or those requiring visa sponsorship should not apply.
Role Responsibilities
- 1Plan, develop, and take ownership in data-intensive investigations of financial fraud.
- 2Conduct background research to develop hypotheses of where fraud occurs.
- 3Write scripts to retrieve and organize data; parse free-form text fields, images, and spreadsheets to derive insights.
- 4Construct and analyze large datasets to find fraudulent patterns; develop quantitative and empirical methods to detect where fraud occurs.
- 5Summarize and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
