SecOps Security Engineer
Recruiter Fit Breakdown & Candid Summary
This is a high-impact, hands-on Staff-level (L6) role for a seasoned security engineer who prefers building and shipping production changes over purely administrative policy work.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud-native environments (AWS/GCP) and Kubernetes, with a proven ability to automate security workflows.
This role is not for those who prefer a siloed, theoretical, or non-technical security approach; you must be comfortable writing code and modifying infrastructure directly.
Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where autonomy and technical execution are expected.
Role Responsibilities
- 1Build and own technical security improvements across AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.
- 2Design and implement detection and response capabilities including SIEM, EDR, and CNAPP.
- 3Conduct end-to-end incident response, from triage and investigation to containment and post-mortem automation.
- 4Develop internal security tooling and automation using IaC and scripting to reduce manual toil.
- 5Implement secure-by-default patterns within CI/CD pipelines and container ecosystems.
